Hi everyone! I have a package I want to ship from Medellin to Europe. Whatโs the best way? FedEx?
It doesnโt matter how fast it ships, as long as it arrives.
Thanks!
Oh itโs not drugs I SWEAR

I've heard travel to CO from USA is blocked until September. Any news on this and may this change anytime soon?
Hello,
Iโm preparing to travel again to Europe, but this time I want to bring our bikes. 2 road bikes. Iโll be traveling from USA to the Milan or Rome airport.
Iโd appreciate hearing your thoughts, experience and tips on traveling with a bike. I plan on being fairly stationary with our location and staying in one spot for 2-3 months, then (hopefully train) to another spot for 3 months, etc. So itโs the initial international flight Iโm most concerned about. But realistically, I think a regional flight will be inevitable with the bikes, too.
I know a bike box will be huge and we will have to break down the bike, thankfully our bikes are fairly light weight. Iโm expecting it to be a huge painโฆbut I think the reward of having a good bike to roam around with will be invaluable. Especially since we will be staying in rural areas and donโt want to rent a car.
General range of cost?
Anyone bring their bike and glad they did? โฆWish they didnโt?..
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I will come to live in Colombia for one year.
What is the best solution with the Visa?
I thought to have a Visa for tourists for 3 months and renewal the visa for 6 months. Is that hard to renewal a tourist Visa in Colombia?
Thank you for your help.
Best,
Julien
Hello the community,
I am thinking about opening a business bank account in another country outside of France.
I live in Paris and I work as a freelancer. The taxes on my salary are very expensive (around 85%). I would like to know if there are better options for bank accounts within Europe.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
J
Hi, I know there are a few posts around this topic but none of them quite answer my questions.
I am British and currently a resident in the UK.
Next year I am going to become a non-resident and spend over a year traveling mostly around Europe, moving every few weeks never staying anywhere longer than a month. (My first venture into becoming a digital nomad!)
I am remote, self employed, software developer working mostly for one client based in the UK.
Where am I liable to pay taxes?
From what I have read I will not be liable to pay taxes in UK, can anyone confirm this?
If not the UK then where if I am moving every few weeks?
If possible I want to avoid starting a company as this seems unnecessarily complicated for my work setup.
Thank you in advance for any help
New Year 2017 is coming Iโm wondering where digital nomads going to celebrate it? And whats special plan do you have?
Iโm still at phase of planning for New Year and cant decide a place in Europe where to go Italy, Spain, Portugal?
Hi Guys! Iโm planing to kick start my Nomad Life style in July, and Iโm researching cities in Europe that can provide three things:
All other characteristics (Weather, english speaking), are not as important as the ones above.
=D
I just arrived to Medellin and did not anticipate that no one would speak any english at all. (Iโm used to Asia where everyone knows the basics)
I need a SIM card, I found a place at the mall where they sell them, but itโs not a simple transaction and I donโt speak Spanish.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Hello.
I am looking for doing about one month of solid work; I have previously worked out of Chiang Mai and I am looking for something simlar:
But in ideally in Europe.
In other words: What are good digital nomading places in Europe? In particular something that is not too dark and cold this of time year.

Iโm visiting Medellin this October for a month and was wondering whatโs the best way to find a place there.
Iโm looking at El Pabelado, but on Airbnb itโs all like $1500, when I know the real rent price there for a 1br should be $600.
Anyone can recommend some locals so I wonโt get scammed/overpay?
hi, any here with experience in armenia? weโre considering a move there and looking for good neighborhoods to look at this week. thanks!
Hello, what is the best voice service to use in Europe? I plan to move around to different to countries. Iโm wondering what people are doing?
I was thinking of using Appleโs Sim for data, but that doesnโt include voice.
Hi folks,
Iโve been nomading for about 2 years straight and Iโm looking to switch it up a little bit. This year Iโd like to set up a home base somewhere while still being able to travel around 50% of the time. I thought I would just put my current thinking here to to see if anybody had advice or input on it.
First, why have a base at all? For me it boils down to three reasons:
So Iโm looking at Barcelona, Berlin and Budapest. No I donโt have a weird thing about cities that start with โBโ - it just worked out that way.
Iโm likely looking for a 1 bedroom apartment in the city center (i.e. Gracia, Mitte, District VII). It needs to be either (1) cheap enough that I wouldnโt feel awful about traveling while still paying rent, maybe max EUR 800-900/mo (2) Or, easily Airbnbโable if Iโm gone for a while. Also looking for โforeigner-friendlyโ setup without an extensive bureaucratic leasing process.
So my questions:
Also if anybody loves this idea and wants to chat about finding a bigger place together Iโm open to the idea.
Thanks!
Hi - Iโm looking for a good place to stay for a few weeks, work, have a beach, a bit to seeโฆ has anybody been to Cartagena and can say something about cost of living, scene, beach, Wifi (reliable??), safety. Or is somebody there right now? I plan to go in about 4 weeks! Thanks!
Hola!
My girlfriend and I are working and slow travelling through Central and South America. We usually live in each location for around three to six months. For instance, weโve been living on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala for nearly six months now.
Weโre planning our next location in Central and South America to rent for six months and weโre hearing great things about Colombia.
Weโd like to live in a safe and quiet natural location with friendly locals, a comfortable climate and have access to quality produce (food).
Can anyone recommend where we can live? Any tips on rentals would also be appreciated.
Thanks!
I work as remote freelance developer (might become permanent) for US companies and I want to go back to Colombia. I already used my tourist visa. I have seen that itโs possible to get a TP7 for independent work but I donโt understand two points :
At the moment Iโm scouting AirBnB for a good place to stay for september. Which houses have you been & can you recommend? Iโm looking at all kinds of locations.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
This is quite a specific question but can be generic in term of method.
I need to get some time out of Bogota so I can come on the remaining days of my touristic visa in order to enrol in a cheapest university to study Spanish.
So basically going out for 2 weeks, come back, do the papers during the 3 remaining weeks.
Iโm trying to find the cheapest flight + hotel combination for this period of time using Nomadlist.
Anybody has a better method/experience?
Hi,
this is David from germany.
I am planning to stay in SE Asia in Q4 2015 while continue working. My work is location independent, but i would need to access customer sites in germany via remote connection. Has anyone done this bevor?
When i was in Thailand for holiday, voip telephony like skype, google talk etc. was working fine, but i did not test any remote access. It was a holiday.
I know that for web guys, this is not a problem, because SSH and git are not so much time critical like a โliveโ desktop session. I know that there will be more lag, as ping times Asia -> Europe will be more like 500ms rather than the < 100ms what working in close proximity to the customer.
I might start at Bangkok or Chiang Mai, so any first hand reports from there would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
David
In Colombia, I have heard people telling me that once you have a work visa you can enter and not care about what happen if you get fired.
Unlike the USA where if you lose your job, you are *****ed.
Is it a possibility to get a job, get in, open a bank account(not sure if thatโs a good idea since itโs not going to receive a consistent flow of cash from a Colombian company), then quit and work as a freelance remote.
